Contacting Your Local Police Department:
If there is something happening that needs attention by an officer the best and quickest way to get in contact with someone from the police department is through Monroe County Central dispatch (734-243-7070). The South Rockwood Police Department uses the consolidated Monroe County Central Dispatch center which is always in constant radio contact with an on duty officer.  In the case of an emergency always dial 911. 



Curfew Hours
Curfew hours during the months of Daylight Saving time:
Ages 15-17 years 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Under 15 years 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

ATTENTION PARENTS AND TEENS
Level 1 and Level 2 License holders under the Graduated Driver Licensing program are prohibited from using a cell phone while driving.  Violations will be a civil infraction and fees associated with the original ticket may be up to $240. No points will be accessed.

Exemptions are:
  • Reporting a traffic crash, medical emergency, or a serious road hazard.
  • Reporting a situation if the person believes his or her personal safety is in jeopardy.
  • Reporting or averting the perpetration or potential perpetration of a criminal act.
  • Using a voice-operated system integrated into the vehicle.
